Outstanding Creative Work Wins Im-aj National Awards
Im-aj Communications & Design, Inc. was recently honored with five awards of excellence in communications and graphic design by the highly esteemed 2006 American Graphic Design Awards. The work will be published in Graphic Design USA's 150-page annual publication highlighting the industry's most impressive work.
Among the winning pieces was a new logo created for Rhode Island Housing. Designed by Im-aj as the first step in a highly strategic brand identity, the logo was selected because it effectively communicates Rhode Island Housing's mission, targets its vast clientele, and establishes a clear brand. Im-aj is in the midst of a full scale brand launch and communications campaign for Rhode Island Housing to clarify its role as an organization dedicated to finding safe, affordable homes for Rhode Islanders, while helping them make safe lending decisions. The campaign includes public relations, print and broadcast advertising, and other supporting collaterals.
Im-aj was awarded for the creation of a logo and letterhead for Davitt Design Build. The company's new look effectively conveys Davitt's long history of high quality residential design and construction. Davitt's new look is illustrative of its inspired designs, impeccable craftsmanship, and steadfast attention to detail.
Also cited as a winner, was the Meeting Street 2005 Annual Report. Designed as a wall calendar, the report effectively captured the organization's extensive history and accomplishments. One of Im-aj's many longstanding clients, Meeting Street has also engaged Im-aj in its ongoing capital campaign, newsletter, and branding efforts to support the upcoming opening of its new National Center of Excellence.
Im-aj's creation of new letterhead for Atlantic Hearing was also named a winner. The letterhead was developed as part of Im-aj's design of an updated brand identity for the organization, which serves individuals with various levels of hearing loss.
With Graphic Design USA entering its 44rd year, this competition has emerged as one of the most prestigious of all graphic communication contests in the country. Of the tens of thousands of submissions this year, Im-aj's entry was among the elite top 10 percent selected as winners. |
