Outstanding Public Relations Campaign for
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Earns Corporate Honors for Im-aj

August 15, 2008 – Following a highly successful public relations campaign for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus in Manchester, NH, one of several events planned by Rhode Island-based Im-aj Communications & Design was honored with a Feld Entertainment “Promie” Award. “Gas for Peanuts!” won best public relations event of 2007-2008. Im-aj’s work was singled out among events held in markets throughout the U.S., including national PR campaigns in Washington D.C., New York City and Dallas.

To celebrate Ringling Bros.’ biggest changes in 50 years, Ringling Bros. partnered with LukOil to offer “Gas for Peanuts!” -- $.50/gallon gasoline for one hour on October 9, 2007. While patrons lined the streets waiting to purchase their gas, a team of Ringling Bros. clowns kept the crowds entertained, giving a flavor of what they could expect at the then-upcoming performance at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

Im-aj’s coordination and promotion of the event earned extensive national media coverage on CNN, as well as local and regional media attention, generating excitement about the upcoming shows and supporting increased ticket sales.
